Our story
Founded 5 January 2015 (14 ربيع الأول 1436) in Thurukkuragama, Kahatagasdigiliya, Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka.
Brief history
Dharul Eiman Muslim Ladies Arabic College was founded on 14th Rabi' al-Awwal 1436 AH (5th January 2015) in Thurukkuragama, Kahatagasdigiliya, Anuradhapura District, to meet the need for high-standard higher Islamic education for girls in Sri Lanka.
Registered under Reg. No. PV00347326, the college was established by scholars and community leaders to bridge traditional Islamic scholarship with contemporary education for women.
From an initial cohort of 35 students, the college has grown into a residential Islamic institution with boarding facilities, lecture halls, a Shari'ah reference library and a dedicated Tahfeez department. Its Aalimas and Hafizas now serve as teachers, counsellors and community leaders across Sri Lanka and abroad.
To provide a disciplined, spiritually uplifting residential environment delivering rigorous Shari'ah scholarship (Aalima Sanad), complete Quran memorisation (Hifz), contemporary academic skills, languages and moral leadership under dedicated female and senior scholars.
